Investment manager of the redevelopment and repositioning of a 113-unit rental apartment building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The 16-story building had not undergone any significant capital upgrades in over 35 years and required a complete gut renovation and unit reconfiguration to deliver 90 larger luxury units. The property was acquired in August 2012 with a JV partner and the renovation was completed in 2016. The rental apartment building remains owned by the original JV with Quadrum Real Estate.

Investment manager for acquisition, design and positioning of a ground up residential development. As part of a recapitalization, joined one partner in November 2013 in a three party joint venture in the ownership of a non-operating derelict paint factory building at the Anable Basin of the East River in Queens, New York. The site has undergone comprehensive environmental remediation and are in the process of seeking a change of use from manufacturing to residential as well as to upzone the site to approximately 330,000 sf. Developed a 68,000 sf, 31-story, high-rise hotel with 249 rooms averaging 160 sf. Prior to opening, built a hotel management platform (Helix Hotel Management) and created a new lifestyle brand called Arlo Hotels. In November 2016, the Arlo NoMad Hotel was opened. The property remains owned by the original JV with Quadrum Real Estate.

Investment manager for acquisition, design and positioning of a ground up residential development. In April 2014, with a JV partner, acquired a development site in an off-market transaction to develop a 43-story, 474,000 sf tower that will include 467 units. The lower half of the building has been designed and will be operated as shared apartment co-living. The upper half of the building will be luxury conventional apartments. The property is scheduled to open 2Q 2018 and remains owned by the original JV with Quadrum Real Estate.

Development manager for acquisition, entitlement, design and positioning of a ground up residential development. In July 2014, acquired a 63,600 sf waterfront site currently improved by a vacant 2-story warehouse building with the intent to upzone the site from its 175,000 sf as-of-right to 330,000 sf, which would require 25-30% affordable units. The property remains owned by Quadrum Real Estate.

Investment manager for acquisition, design and positioning of a ground up residential development. In February 2015, with a JV partner, acquired the leasehold interest in a 49,595 sf parking garage building on a 10,071 sf site under a new 99-year ground lease. The site is currently being developed with an 18-story, 116,000 gross sf, 39-unit “for-sale” luxury residential property. The property remains owned by the original JV with Quadrum Real Estate.

Investment manager for acquisition, entitlement, design and positioning of a ground up mixed use residential development. In April 2015, acquired a 7.5-acre waterfront site with a JV partner (Co-GP) with the intent to upzone the site from its 995-unit (2.1 mil sf) as-of-right to 2,100 units (2.1 mil sf). The site is well located in downtown Jersey City and borders Liberty State Park to the south and the Marina to the east, with protected views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. It is anticipated the master plan, environmental remediation and rezoning process will be completed in 2018. The Project will be built over several phases and remains owned by the original JV with Quadrum Real Estate.

Investment manager for acquisition, design, branding and positioning of a ground up senior housing development. In July 2015, acquired 32.5 acre land parcel with the intent to develop a 530,000 sf, 4-story, lifestyle senior housing with 460 units. During development, created a new lifestyle brand called Amavida and a management platform (Quadrum Senior Living). The property is under construction and should be complete in the 3rd quarter of 2018. The property remains owned by Quadrum Real Estate.
